New Doors

Does anyone have any advice on lambo doors? Does some on have some pics of them installed? I was thinking of adding them and was wondering if their where any problems with them. Do they still seal? What is a good type to get? and Where?
Thanks for all your great help..

I would never put those on my "G"... They are a PITA to get in and out of on a consistant basis from what I hear... I also hear of MANY people with them trying to sell them not to long after they lose their excitment and newness (anywhere from 3-6 months)

If you do go that route DO NOT get the cheapy bolt on kits and spend at least 1200 - 1500 on your kit and get the ones that get welded in because they are much much stronger and more reliable. The "G's" doors are pretty heavy and you do not want them wiggling around putting to mych stress on the joints.

Good Luck in your decision!

GT Factory makes the best ones. they go vertical and are welded. don't get cheap universal bolt ons. i've seen some from vertical doors inc. but those are more butterfly than vertical. some have problems with sealing, just make sure you take it to a good shop that will get them perfect. do a search, there are plenty of threads about "lambo doors". i think most people will here will agree that you should not get lambo doors unless you are taking your car to shows. i say if you like them and you got the cash, why not. its your money, spend it how you want.

I have a 06 white G35 i just bought a few months ago, I'm going to put verticle doors on mine as well. I don't know why people hate on it, I never found it stressfull using it everyday. I mean if your a mail man or something I could see that, but how many times a day do you realy have to open it. Wanna see how easy it is to talk to a girl, just open it up right next to her... end of story

^^its not that i think theyre impractical.

i think a lot of people agree when i say they just dont belong on our cars unless they are show cars. but to each his own.

you can do the whole lambo door thing just rebadge it as a lambo. then hang out with the "type r" civic crowd.

Lambo doors are so nice. Sometimes it's alittle to flashy for certain people, depends on how you are. As long as you have some 20 inch rims and maybe a body kit, lambo doors match very well. If your money is short, spend it on something else, but not me, i love those lambo's

I did it on my daily drive accord when i had it, i would never do it again...however my kit was a "crappy bolt on kit" and it was clean, i blew a shock once, but the company i bought them from covered it

pic

by the way i think it looks horrible on the g. i think its the fact that it has no window frame. dont do it, ull regret it

go to verticaldoors.com or just order the kit off stillen.. its a 1000 bucks.. very easy bolt on.. u get all cable extentions... but the only problem wit them is ur gana have to roll ur fenders cuz the actuall hinge swings out slightly and hits the fenders..
