you could try cleaning your maf sensor, throttle body, air filter (clean or replace), and fuel injector cleaner, also check your air pressure in your tires

how did i do that? lol lets see..it all started when i lost my debit card and i had no cash. therefore i had to drive really really really conservatively to save gas to last me until i could get my hands on some cash so i could fill up. luckily, my friend owed my 100 bucks and sent it in the mail last week and i got it just in time for a fill up

while it was cool to say i got 400mi on one take it sure wasnt very fun/exciting

I get 16 mpg almost every tank, i think the only time i've ever gotten over 19 was on an all highway trip when i first bought the car and a couple other all highway trips of 500 miles. Other than that, 16 is the norm for me, even if i try to baby the pedal, i can only manage 17.5 mpg.... get used to it, this car is a gas hog.

Quote: Hey guys...i've recently started to notice that my gas tank guage is going down SOOO fast. I've done that thing on my navi to check my mpg's...and it said 15.2 - 15.4. That's terrible. What the hell is wrong with my car?!
Its never been this bad before.
How many miles to the tank is that?

*EDIT* nevermind, i figured it out. about 277 for 18 gal.

They just changed to a seasonal gas blend here last month, and my economy in my truck and car have both gone down about 1 or 2 MPG. Generally the rule of thumb is to expect a 2% fuel economy drop when they switch to different gas mixtures for the cool weather if you live in an state/county that is required by law according to the EPA to do so.

In the city on a full tank i get just over 200 = which is slightly over 10 mpg.

On the highway, however, I have gotten 200 miles out of a 1/2 tank. I think its ridiculous how city driving can decrease mileage by 50%. I might as well be driving an 8 cylinder engine...if im getting 10 mpg in a V6 I can only imagine if this car was a V8. Either way, I am going to get my car checked out to make sure.

I just got 13 MPG on my last tank. I do have a lead foot too so I wasn't expecting much. Plus coming off a Yukon it doesn't hurt as much haha.

I highly recommend cleaning your MAF sensor. I just cleaned mine and I'm avg. 3 mpg more. I am now hitting 21mpg and was getting about 18mpg before the cleaning on my 03.5 sedan w/ K&N, Z-tube + coupe middy. I noticed the drop shortly after I did those mods...some say it could be the oils from the K&N.

This was discussed in the sedan forum...some say it doesn't work...but it did for me.
