Pretty good day at the dealership

I've read so many bad stories of one's experience at the dealership, that I thought it would be nice to have a good experience story once in a while. (Don't worry, I have bad experiences too).

Almost 2 months ago, my service engine soon light came on, so I brought it into the dealership. They inspected it, said it was nothing serious, that I just needed to replace a throttle sensor, or oxygen sensor or something. However, they did not have the part and it was on backorder. They also told me that the light might continue to come on sporadically.

So after all those weeks without answer, I finally got a call from my dealership. They were right. Most of the time, the light stayed off but once in a while (for 1 or 2 days) it would stay on.

I was awoken today to really nice, perfect weather. Went with a buddy to the dealership dropped off my car. When I came back a few hours later they told me they replaced the whole throttle body for me. Much improvement! Much smoother shifts, especially downshifts, and smoother acceleration. I didn't notice how much I was missing out on. I don't think my old throttle body was too good. They also replaced something for my rear axle, b/c it would rattle sometimes when I put it into reverse, or when I accelerated. For some reason, my brakes and brake pedal seem to work a lot better too? Lol. I'm totally serious. The brake pedal feels a lot stiffer now then before.

Everything was covered by warranty, and I also got to check out the new '07 g35 sedan. From the front end, it kinda looks like a Japanese Mercedes Benz CLS. Great car.

On the way to my other friend's house, I raced my buddy (pimped out Mercedes C320) and beat him with a smile on my face.

Overall, it was just a pretty good day.

P.S. >

For all the speedheads only:

Random question: I can never seem to go over 145 mph on my car, even though I know it still has plenty of juice. It literally just stops like it's limited by a computer. (I have a '05 g35 coupe, auto, oem 18s, premium package). When I had my oem 17s, it stopped at 140. Maybe it's the tires? Do you think my ex-throttle body could have made that problem?
