smog + 5/16 spacer & mrev2
so yeah, i searched and I couldn't find any relevant threads... so here goes:
I'm interested in buying a 5/16" Copper Iso Thermal plenum spacer and an Iso Thermal MREV 2.
I have and 05 AT with a z-tube with stock airbox & air filter.
I wasn't going to buy the MREV 2 before, but they have a sweet sale price + the rebate for my NON-REV UP VQ engine.
So, the questions are: Will this in any way affect smog tests and gas mileage?
Thanks in advance

if you are in Cali, it will fail. We have a visual inspection that gets done, anything that does not have a CARB # will cause a fail, even if you can pass the smog test itself. The trick is to hide these kind of things before you test.
I had to relocate my VAFC into my glove compartment in order to pass the SMOG on my old Integra Type-R. I didn't think they'd be that **** about it, but it depends on where you go. I've also passed with a NON CARB Intake Manifold on it too.

wow, thanks guys. I really appreciate your comments, although I did get mixed answers
skaterbasist: i just want to bring out that g35 exhaust tone. i'm in <3 w/ it.
so... this is what i get from this thread:
1.) if it looks stock (if they can't find the mods), and passes the test, it's fine.
2.) I don't need to re-tune the car unless I add exhaust or HFC (which I don't plan on doing until my warranty runs out)
is this correct?
also, do I really need to reset the ECU? wouldn't it learn to adjust over time anyway?
