what s the black box thing next to the right exhaust tip of G35C?

i wanna remove to custom my own exhausts.. but the muffler shop ppl told me it is the fuel pump.. i was like wtf..
anybody know?

I removed my exhaust system on my coupe, to install my aftermarket one. Did not see any type of "box" under there. Just removed the muffler and midpipe w/ no problems. Don't know what muffler shop you're taking it to, but I would take it elsewhere.

Since your description and picture are vague, I'll make an educated guess and say that it's the fuel "EVAP canister vent control system".

By the way, the fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank.

 

the black box is not part of the stock exhausts. u probably have to go underneeth the car to see it.. it s located um.. NEXT to the right exhaust tip. right after the rear right wheel.

only on the right side...
