Trailer wiring?

OK, I'm a track junkie. I have a need for speed. But, I also have a need for a wallet that doesn't strictly have moths and Burger King receipts in it, so a 3/4 ton truck and car trailer just isn't in the cards yet... That being the case, I need a small race trailer because race tires just don't fit in the back seat of my '04 G35 Coupe. So, some friends and I fabbed up a trailer hitch that is hidden behind the rear license plate. Now I need to figure out how to get trailer wiring back there, but I've heard that you can't just "tap in" to the rear lights because they're LED. Has anyone done this before? If so, any ideas on how to make this work? Thanks in advance!

Thank you! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for!

Has anyone actually installed a converter before? Is there a good place to draw power from in the trunk (maybe the radio), or is running a lead from the battery the only way to go?
