Radar Detector - Success Stories?

I've searched and found a few blurbs about them but no quantifiable eveidence that it actually worked...

So if you have one, which one do you have and has it saved you a ticket that you are sure you would have otherwise received or ???

I'm shopping for an RD and I want one that WORKS.

Let's hear your story.

you've just started a debate that will slide easily over to Valentine One Radars.

I don't have a V1 personally, but i'm running Bel Pro Rx65. I can tell you from my own experience that it has saved me more times than i dare count. I commute to work everday. Between my house and work is this notorious area where speedtraps and troopers patrole non-stop. Ive began to learn where they camp out over the months, but that dosn't help you when they are coming from behind or merging in from another area. Ive had multiple encounters while on the move and have not gotten a speeding ticket since. *knock on wood*.

For me its going to be Bel Pro...and for everyone else like i stated earlier its going to be V1. The decision is up to you.

Detectors are coming more useful while your moving, but lasers are a whole diff story. Cops/Troopers are using more speedtraps and lasers to catch speeders because it dosn't put out a strong enough signal to detect in advance. The only real warning you get is the last few seconds from your detector. The only real deterent from a laser is a Shifter/Jammer you can buy. In most states its illegal, and some have been banned from the U.S. since they are so effective.

Saves me at least once a month. It is probably one of the best investments I've ever made. It pays for it self every time I see a speed trap. Can't go wrong with the Passport or V1.

I have a V1 as well. I have received a speeding ticket with it, but have not gone to court yet. The cop did not have his radar on until after he pulled me over. Hopefully it wont stand in court.

V1 is a very good RD... some will say the x50 is better. It is a matter of preference.

i have the passport and it saved me the other night on the freeway. i was doing 90 and it went off and i slowed down. then i passed an on ramp and i looked back and he was gunnin people from the on ramp. not many cops drive with their radar on well at least not in my town so i still have to watch out and cant drive like an idiot.
