My 04.5 6MT Coupe turned 60,000 miles today

Yeah, My Coupe turned 60,000 miles today and it was bittersweet, I guess all my warranty days at the dealer are done but the car is better than ever. I still have no rattles or complaints of any kind except an occasional sunroof 'pop' when I twist the body sometimes when turning down into the parking garage at work. The turn is hard and the drop is steep so I'm not mad, I'm used to it now.

The engine and transmission are great! The VQ is much more powerful than ever and my buddies 06 with his MREV and exhaust is no match for my G at any speed still (I have full CAI and Skunk2 5\8 spacer)... The most noticeable test against the 2 6MTs is in 4th gear or higher rolling from any speed range; if we just floor the gas, my G smokes his 06 very badly (and they thought the HP increase and Torque decrease was better?)... I have not had any problem walking away from the 05s & 06s at any speed.

BTW, i'm averaging 27MPG on my work commute.

This is my 60K report, I will install TT FI next year & drive her until right about 180K (if she lasts that long) and then may move to the 2nd or 3rd year production GT-R because they always have some trouble the first year, sometimes 2 years production; they need the service and customer feedback before problems etc. are engineered out of the production. I will drive this G until it's GT-R time or maybe there will be a comparable Infiniti model by then.

I'm glad many people believe in driving their G's rather than storing them, but to each his own... I do have a beater, but only drive it when the weather is bad or I have more than 2 passengers or things to haul. I don't want any fender benders on the G; I see many accidents on my daily commute, especially when weather is bad

My G will be driven as a daily driver, i think it's nice, but nothing on par to being stored and gawked at. That doesnt mean i won't take care of it!!

Yeah, my G is definitely my daily driver. I don't get the people here that store it only for weekends or something, I guess unless they go FI or are referring purely to over winter months, I could understand. But otherwise we're driving $35k Nissans, I couldn't count on a single hand how many more expensive cars drive by every five minutes around here in Washington DC.
