Problem with CD player
Hey guys, today I started my coupe like regular and everything went fine until I changed my CD option to the AM/FM option, but found that nothing good was on the radio so I switched back to CD. Then all I heard was the sound of the changer changing tracks repeatedly for a good 20 seconds and then stopped. An error message came up on the screen, "CD ERROR FO." I turned the power off and turned it back on but again, it made the changing sound then went to CD ERROR FO. I even tried turning my car off, but to no avail... Has this happened to you guys before? What should I do? Would this be a stereo warranty issue? Your imput would be greatly appreciated.
Mine finally did this after almost 4 years. Vintage G's had this issue a long time ago in 2003. I was going to get the changer replaced and then next day voila~ everything back to normal. Who knows. I was kinda hoping they would replace my unit with one that is MP3 capable.

....Go to the stealership and get it replaced under warranty. Mine is already on boarder of going out. It started skipping on songs when the car is not even shaking
....Hopefully i can get the mp3 version..

Good luck with the fix.

My cd players has spazzed out on me a couple times since ive gotten the car (I have an 06) I just shut the radio off, shut the car down, turned it back on and everything was back to normal. Not sure what it was but I havent had that problem in a while.
Mine is Japanese spec but in the hand book it says that the cd player is protected against condensation and water vapour in certain climates. I emailed nissan helpdesk in Japan, as Nissan in the UK know Jack Sh*t about the car, and they told me to use the thin nozzle attachment of a vacuume cleaner to suck the moisture out of the cd slot. Did this and after a week of it not working it worked straight away and no problems since.
Just so you know they also told me not to use blank cd's written on your pc as a lot of the makes are thicker than the legal copys and not to use any with stickers on like the labels you use to id the cd with.
Might be worth a try. Has the weather been damp where you live, ie windscreen keeps misting up ?

I'm not trying to be a d1ck here. People just need to realize that there are bigger side effects to reposting (at least on car-related issues) than just annoying older members. Posting the same question over and over again is not the way to uncover new answers; encouraging members who've made a valuable new discovery to post their findings (after they've searched of course) is.
