Hello Everyone,

I am looking to add navi to my G (with premium pckg, etc.) but am looking to stay with my factory radio (plus dont want to alter the console).

Where (online) can i find a factory navi setup or a passable aftermarket navigation that will go setup where the factory would have?

Carputer, Clarion NICE, or try what this guy did (pics 5,6 and 7):

you need a new wiring harness to install the factory nav on a non-nav g, i would go aftermarket. try mp3car.com they have a module that goes into the cubby and slides out and up. it looks pretty good too and a close match to the brushed aluminum trim. i'm sure you could hook up a navi to the screen that they offer.

Most after-markets have more features, at about half the price. Just a matter of making them look like they belong, or keep them 'portable' and plug em in when you need them.

eh... after reviewing his post, i noticed doing that basically renders my bose radio plus 6cd changer "useless". It also does not look clean.

well now im looking at MP3Car, and i guess $600 isnt so bad for a perfect fit that looks clean. Any of you experience this? i wonder how to install navi on it...

I think you're looking at the monitor price without the carputer. I was wondering if the Clarion Nice (7 inch monitor) would fit in the pull out mount.

Hey man! I have a TomTom aftermarket and it was 1/3 of the price of the factory nav and is aboud 10 times better! And plus I can take it out and bring it inside at night!
