Unhappy veryyy angry!! long post..

sup guys sorry if the post is long but i jus wanna let out my frustration...

So last night my cuzins/friends and i decided to take a trip to albany, NY about 3 hours from Brooklyn to visit some girls u kno party etc.. we left aroudn 12 30 last night and followed my cuzin's car since i did not know how to get there.. anyways he constantly did anywhere from 80-120 non stop and no matter how many times i told him to slow down he did not listen and in order for me and my group to not get lost i had to keep up, at times found myself doing 125..yea fun at times, exciting but dangerous as well, i tried being as cautious as possible and kept my eyes wiiiiiiiiideee open for for police..anyways the whoel time i just kept thinking how lucky i was to not get stopped on the way there for being so stupid and going so damm fast..as we get to albany we start driving aroudn to find the place, numerous u-turns, took a few yellow lights,...really stupid night ..anyways at one point my cuzin took off really fast and i kept my speed since the limit was 30mph he must have been doing at least 65...but i needed to catch up so i proceeded and BOOM a trooper makes a uturn(i did not see him) and pulls right behind me..lights n the whole deal...aproaches me as if i had guns on me/or was drunk or somethign..he says by that time i was doing 80mph on a 40..now trust me i kno i was doing over the speed limit but definitly not 80..it was a main street..but i can say i was stupid and might have been going 60, 65 tops..still very dumb..anyways i guess it cought up to us..but not really i WAS cought..my cuzin kept going n went into a parkinlot and i was the 1 that got cought..im very upset, at myself more than anything...the officer made us get out fo the car, patted us down, searched the car..the whole 9..i was terrified to say the least becuz i thought i was gonna get arrested(80mph on a 40 is no joke)..he jus said some tough words and told me to thank my cuzin for gettin me a very high fine and 5 points on my license..now i have to mail in the ticket pleading guilty and they will mail me back what my fine is.

sorry once again for a very long post..but just had to let it out..

That sucks bro. I feel for you. I've been there many times. Consider it a lesson learned.
Go to court and do what you can to get rid of the points. Slap your cousin in the head a couple of times, and be smarter the next time.
How did the rest of the night go?

maybe you should of let him go then used your cell phone with him to guide you in later.
I guess we all take chances now and then and some of us pay the price .
I got a clean license at the moment but i do speed from time to time, i guess i've just been lucky so far.

5 points! wtf! thats like reckless driving, drunken driving, and speeding all at the same time! you better go to court and not plead guilty otherwise your insurance is about to triple, if you can even get insurance at all. No joke, do not pay the fine or plead guilty on this one, it will have repurcussions for the rest of your driving life! plea bargain, sell yourself on the street, do whatever not to get this on your record...

That sucks, and you know you were driving dangerously so I won't preach to you. Now, don't just mail in the ticket with a guilty plea. Try to find a ticket lawyer and you'll probably get it reduced to something like no seat belt with no points. Call these guys and see if they work in NY. http://www.ticketclinic.com/index.html

and by the way- you shouldn't do 120 on public streets - your lucky you didn't kill or injure somebody that crossed your path...and then you'd definitely be in prison. the life you save may be your own, and the life of a family member or friend of someone on this board.

i did 120 at times on the highway not on a regular street and i already mentioned how stupoid and retarted it was..and i really dont stand a chance in fighting the ticket..a friend of mine was cought doing 94 on a 65 by a state trooper as well and got himself a lawyer n it was reduced to a 80 in a 65 wit 3 pts on his license..his lawyer even said that he can plead not guilty but they will jus hear the story and still find u guilty...no chance in fihgting it...

The only person to blame is yourself, not your cousin.

Get this situation over with, work off as many points as you can, and don't do anything else.

I would actually consider yourself lucky - you didnt get hurt from going a foolish 125mph.

^^^ i agree with everyone, even if its your fault, when going to court, try to contest every thing because your insurance is definitely going up.
