Anyone using Dunlop Winter Sport M3 Tires?

I am about to pick up a set, any comments? They seem very highly rated, I believe the highest I read about. I plan on using the stock 18's as my winter rims so was going to go with 225/45 and 245/45's. Thanks in advance

They worked great for me last winter.
Not one bad thing to say about them.

I just bought my set of Dunlop M3's did some research and came up with the same conclusion as you. Haven't read one bad thing about them. Just got them put on yesterday with my new set of 18's. Haven't had much snow to deal with yet so can't say how good they are. I got the 225/45-18 and 245/45-18 as well. The ride is very quite compare to my stock all seasons. So far, I'm loving it as well. GET THEMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!! lol (winter's coming )

I went through 3 winters in mine. No problems at all. Make sure you don't run them too far into the spring.

I found the same thing out! I picked up a set 18" but have not had them installed yet! But others rant and rave about them! I guess we will wait to see..........

Got them last year in stock size off tirerack and mounted on my 18' OEM. Can't recommend them enough. They handle fine on dry asphalt and surprisingly good in the snow. Last year drove through the second largest snowstorm NY has ever seen, from Brooklyn to the Bronx - only got stuck driving into my garage and only where a farking Jeep Wrangler was stuck beforehand.

had snowsports for 3 winters and they were good for all except deep snow.

just put on M3's and like them so far. not yet tested in deep snow but they are more aggressive than the snow sports so i expect them to be better.

bought a 4X4 pick up for bad snow days. have moved further north of Toronto and even with good snows it may be too much for the coupe.

They're great for what they are, but they won't turn your G into a snowmobile. I have a set on my winter driver, an all-wheel drive 92 Mitsu Eclipse GSX. While they're fine in snow depths of an inch or two, when it gets much deeper than that -- as it often does during a New England winter -- they're not so hot. My wife's all-season tire-equipped Expedition can run rings around it in snow depths in excess of three inches.

Yea well you can't compare a 4WD SUV to a RWD sport coupe. But I will say that these tires exceeded my expectations greatly. I had them on the 17'' setup last year and had no problems in the snow. We had some pretty bad storms in Michigan last winter and I was cruising past some SUVs on the freeways at times. BUT YOU ARE NOT AN SUV! So please drive accordingly.

Don't get brave and think you can plow through anything or you will get stuck. Just drive speed limit or slower and you should be good to go.

The M3s have very good grip, but they have very soft sidewalls which really kills handling.

On our Z we have Hanccok Icebears and these tires are much cheaper, have much stiffer sidewalls and handle MUCH, MUCH better in dry than the M3s. Snow driving appears to be comparable between these and the M3s.

The only dowside is that (as of last year) they did not come in exact stock sizes. But, if I had to do it again I would put 225 icebears on all around to save handling and money!!!

I didn't...I compared a 4WD SUV with "all season" tires to an ALL-wheel drive sport coupe with snow tires. I'm not saying the Dunlops aren't good tires -- this will be my third season driving on them and I like them a lot -- but compared to the typical non-performance-oriented snow tire, they definitely trade some grip in the snow for much better handling and noise levels on non-snow covered surfaces.
