Lower Door Seal Not covered by warranty?!

Hello there! My drivers side lower door seal, the one that is at the base of the door and is color matched, is peeling. I emailed Infiniti of Kirkland, Wa and they say its not covered by warranty.... what kind of bs is that? Is that a wear and tear item...?

Has anyone had theirs replaced under warranty that can provide me with some sort of documentation for me to show them? Thanks!

Aaron

I'm sure your referring to the seal that goes around the door if so:

I found this link..hopefully it will help you out.

from what i was able to gather you might not get it under warranty, but its pretty cheap and easy to do your self.

My dealer told me its 110 + tax... I found the msrp is only $73 so I asked them why they charge $110... HAHA should be interesting to get their reply.

Update: After I emailed them with the MSRP, and telling them that the dealership in San Diego replaced it under warranty they wrote me:

We checked with the parts department regarding the door seal to see if we had one in stock and it looks as if another one of our service advisors here had already ordered one up for you. We have also decided to cover the cost of the part and the installation to replace this part for you.

They have DECIDED to cover the cost of the part, almost as if it was under warranty . Hooray :0) Infiniti of Kirkland will remain my Infiniti dealer!
