Fog Light Upgrade

Which do you guys recomend? I have done a search in previous threads and I did not see much to help my decision.

Here are my options:
9003ST Silverstar High Performance Lighting: The Whiter and Brighter Halogen
9003XV XtraVision Halogen Upgrade: Up to 30% Brighter
9003CB Cool Blue Halogen Upgrade: White Hot

I limited my options to these replacements, after seeing other members w/ cracked or melted housing from other bulb upgrades. In my last infiniti, I upgraded to bulbs that melted my wiring harness. The dealer wanted $1500 to replace it. I do not want to go through this again.

My main goal is just to have a brighter bulb w/o compromising the bulb housing/wiring harness.

Your help would be much appreciated & pics would be great too!

You know, that's a great question. I am actually interested in this myself.

Of course, I could always drop $725 on a new set of '06 headlights from www.infiniti-parts.com

Try the new Silverstar Ultra. It is suppose to last longer and brighter that the old silverstars. Or spend a little more and get some PIAA. We have a 04 coupe and we put silverstars on it. I am looking for a set of stock 04 headlights to do my own Projector HID conversion. I did a 350Z Hid headlights on our 86 300ZXT and it made a big difference from the old sealed beam halogen.

Thanks for the info. The silverstar ultras are not available in size 9003(fog lights). Does the PIAA bulbs affect the housing? Some users stated that there PIAA lamps cracked or melted the housing. Those pics are amazing, thanks!

^ do you like your yellow fogs or do you wish you had whites? When you use your high beams are they also yellow?

The Silverstar Ultra sounds interesting. The GE Nighthawks cost a lot less than the original SS and work just as good as near as I can tell. But the new Ultras might be better.

I upgrade my lights to Silverstars when I get a new vehicle. If you go to www.dodgetruckworld.com & do a search for them you'll find some pics where members have replaced 1 side at a time & posted the pics to show the difference.

Actually my stock bulbs cracked my housing. I upgraded my fogs to 8k's and are super bright and I havn't had any problems. They replaced my headlights for free when that happened so if it happens again I will just put my stock bulbs back in and get some more free.
