Actually Hexx...FI is not a new company. Theyve been doing exhaust work for a few years now if not longer. Theyre new to the G35/350Z scene, yes. But theyre not new to the game.
Now I know the sound is subjective, but Im more of a fan of the FI than HKS. HKS is just too high pitched for me. If you want the look of HKS and a deep rumble, Injen is the way to go. But if you want some of the best gains you can get, some of the best customer service you can get, and a great sounding good looking exhaust, FI is the way to go

How would a company like FI expect to grow market share by pricing higher than a market leader like HKS? I like the FI exhaust. I would definitely consider buying it if I didn't already have my HKS. I would, however, expect to pay at least a couple of hundred dollars less for the FI.
Aluminized $1,199
Stainless Steel $1,329
Polished Stainless Steel $1,459
HKS best price i've found:
$1250 shipped

eh i guess thats your opinion though. i, as many others do, think that hks sounds great, looks clean, classy, and aggressive at the same time, and performs very very well
the only downfall the the hks is that everyone has it
then again theres a reason for that
lol if you wanna make your car faster then why are you putting a system in it? granted that its not that much weight its still unnecessary extra weight lol

Sooooo.... HKS is not only cheaper, but the HKS company has the racing development research behind it that really blows anything that FI has done in the past.
what?

^^^Well, I wouldn't call FI or their exhaust crap but your arguement for going with HKS is very valid and exactly what I have been saying (except for calling FI crap
).
).
max hp with hks is 235 - 223.5 = 11.5hp
the baseline tq for that 350z is 217.7 and with the hks its 226.3
226.3 - 217.7 = 8.6 tq
learn to read a dyno before you do the math

Didn't vote cuz mine isn't listed.
Hahaha...this brings back memories from somewhere else. Hex, where your big red letters
I was going to get HKS, best price back then I found was around 1250ish.
Injen's new track edition was on sale for 1100. Got from vendor here for 850 shipped to my door. Couldn't pass that up.
Dyno prior to Injen: 237hp/215tq
Dyno w/Injen: 245hp/224tq
+8hp and +9tq. Both on DynoJet224.
Low roar/rumble below 2800rpm and some droan too. Above 2800, nice exotic roar sound, no droan and no rasp at any rpm, due to, imo, the H pipe cross-over.
Injen's older SES system had no H pipe and sounded raspy (heard this personally on a Z) as any duel system does without a cross-over.
Exhaust sound recordings really don't do any exhaust justice. You really need to hear them in person and under load to appreciate their sound.
G meets are a great place to hear different systems so you can choose which one suits your taste.
