Nice Comment

Today as I was heading out for lunch I was at a stop light and an elderly gentleman said "Nice wheels". I said thanks and he asked what kind of car is it and of course I said G35. Put a big smile on my face

Just thought I'd share that our cars do get attention, but I am sure everyone knows that already.

It does, but not much anymore. I'm glad it doesn't attract the attention that would have people "eyeballing" it for parts Of course, all this is moot if you have all sorts of aftermarket parts on it.

^^What do you mean not much anymore? I still think the current G is sexier then anything under 90k on the road.

I'd say he was at least 60-70.

Sort of the same thing happend to me about a month ago. I was at a stop sign in front of Target to let this elderly guy walk across to his car (not in his 40's more like a good 80+) he was using his walker and all....slowly looked my way. stopped in front of my car and turned to give me a thumbs up! i had the biggest smile for the whole day just thinking about it, it was so funny.

Oh, I'm not saying it's not good looking anymore. I'm saying that I don't see them saying how nice it is much anymore. I think because there are so many where I'm at. Plus, where I'm at, I see all the exotics too. I think I've seen a blue, red, yellow, and Orange Lambo in 6 months here, not to mentioned all the colors of the Ferraris, Porches, etc. Hey, I like it and I do get some stares, but nothing special.

Wierd nice flattering all in a scary way. I feel bad for celebs who have to deal with it day in day out. You have no idea what could happen to ya

I was visiting one of my company's facilities for a tour on Thursday. As the tour of about 20 people traversed through the parking lot between buildings, one of the 40-something year old women asked aloud, "oooh, I wanna know who's Porsche that is". So I immediately started looking for something good like a 911 Turbo in the direction she was pointing. I asked her "Where are you looking"? She said "That blue one over there!" I laughed and saw she was looking at my Athens Blue G35. Haha. I just smiled and my co-workers who knew it was mine told her. The woman was a "cougar", if you know what I mean. lol
I thought that was a pretty cool compliment, in a way.

I get looks all the time and I'm stock. Of course I live in the city (Baltimore), but there are plenty of Benz's and BMW's, but only a few G coupe's and I have yet to see one modded..well there was one with 20" wheels I think from like American Racing. It was one of the most God-Awful things I've seen. I can't even descibe how bad the wheels looked if I tried for days.
Anyway I get a LOT of looks and have had a lot of questions. De-badging probably adds to that. But people look hard and I've been asked what kind of car it is, how fast, it looks awesome, etc.
I've had the car for a month and 1/2!!!

and for the people in Cali, I feel ya. I used to live in Costa Mesa a while back and I had a brand new eclipse convert spyder burgandy (last generation body style- sorry three gens ago actually), 2 months before the first ones ever hit showrooms and I got a lot of looks but it all went to hell when every other light I was pulling up next to a Lambo or a Modena

I have a pretty nice looking lightly modded black G (although by December I'm gonna have Greddy sides and Kenstyle rear!!), I should drive around in Baltimore more often. Down here around D.C. nobody gives a crap about my car.
