I see that Silvia Parts offers to pre-paint the SP grille. Has anyone ordered one this way and if so how was the paint work?
My coupe is IP and I have a great body shop that can paint it, although I don't know what the cost would be.
How is the fitment of these later SP grilles?
Thanks to all who reply!

hmm...70 bucks isnt bad at all...but if you have a good body shop i would just take it there so you know what kind of quality youll be getting...

Buy it unpainted and take it to a body shop. Ive heard the paint quality from SP isn't anything special. Plus, if you get it done at a body shop and there's an issue with the paint, you can go back. If you get it pre-painted, youll have to ship the grill back and forth.
Fitment on my grill is great for a replica part. No complaints!

Yeah it looks great thanks for the input! I'll have mine painted locally, did you have to drill holes and fool with it or is it good to go right out of the box?

Ya, you have to drill holes yourself. There are pre-marked places on the grill but they are not in the correct places. You have to fit it and drill the holes yourself. Make sure you do this BEFORE paint so you dont have to worry about chipping or scratching the paint
