Exclamation Silvia Parts slow to respond to request for RMA to return of grille..

In fact so far they haven't replied at all! I wonder if anyone else has had this experience with them?

I sent a second email today, we'll see what they do or don't do, but I am prepared to dispute the charge on my credit card.

They were Johnny on the Spot getting the grille to me, too bad they aren't as prompt in replying to emails........and worse yet too bad the grille is such a poor fit. ( at least the one they sent me ) Plus that fiberglass support in the center of the grille is butt ugly!

Hmmm yeah I had one of their first when they were painting them and shipping them ready to be installed. I got a replacement grille back fast. They sent it overnite to me. Good luck. I don't think they are trying to run away with your $$$

Same experiece with SP here...

I never got my email back after complaining about my disappointment with the fitment and finish either. I emailed saying I'm ok with their 25% restocking fee and shipment charges, with no replies. No more biz with SP for me simply because of that.

I decided to keep the grill, paid my paint shop to try and "fix it" as much as they could and paint it. Final product is better then the pre-painted one, naturally, but I'm still not 100% satisfied. My only real issue is the mesh (which I'm replacing with the customautomesh one), but more importantly the uneven surface of the bottom lip: its bulging at every mesh retainer spot.

Just a reminder to myself - get the authentic deal and pay the extra $$ when expecting quality, or risk disappointment.

Anyways, here are some pix I've already posted elsewhere on this forum, so you be the judge... it looks fine until close-up inspection:

Email response from SP in Hong Kong...yesterday

Your grille looks fine, mine had a huge gap at along the bottom edge and from the side the lower edge protruded ruining the lines from the side view.

I would caution anyone that to mail something like this SP grille BACK to Hong Kong is E X P E N S I V E. It cost me $41 and change to send it via USPS. But before I went there I tried UPS.........sit down and get this...... $200+ to send to Hong Kong.

I got a reply from " Fransisco" at SP who said he was away on holiday that's why the reply was late. He gave me no RMA and just said "send it back". He also admitted that " some people have to drill holes to make the grille fit"... DUH!

Thank heavens I didn't let them PAINT THE BLOODY THING!! I'd really be PO'd!

Your body shop or whoever did it, did a nice job of making a silk purse out of a sow's ear. But I agree......... PAY FOR THE BEST right off the bat and the devil take the rest of 'em! I didn't think I should have to dick around with a body shop to make it fit, I wanted something I could take there and have painted and GO. So it's outta here and back to HK for that SP grille. There was no mention of sending a replacement btw.
