G35 Drivers, please post your stock 1/4 mile times

How's it going? There's a good debate going on the AcuraCL-S forums about how fast G35 C's are stock at the drag strip. I've seen mostly 14.1-14.3 passes and one at 13.92. The CL-S drivers, well most of them, say no way.

Could you please post some of your times so prove me wrong or right? Thanks.

Oh, BTW, I drive a chipped VW 1.8T...

Re: G35 Drivers, please post your stock 1/4 mile times

The ATs can do 14.3s stock, but their screwy ECU requires alot of break-in before they can get those times. For some reason nobody has ever actually seen a MT at my strip. They should come in somewhere between 14.3 and 13.8, which is the best 350Z time I've seen. 14.1 sounds right. That 13.92 may have been under unusual conditions. My AT once ran a 14.055 with just a Borla exhaust, but it was 32 degrees on the track.

Anyway, tell the Acura guys to put down their magazines and actually run the cars.

Or you could tell them that the G35 is a real sports coupe, while the CL-S is just a two-door version of a family sedan with a big engine.

Actually except for the rattle box comment no one is really being that subjective. The guy who they linked high 14's for was running 70# 20" wheels. And the Acura had mods so nothing seems that unreal.

There's a bunch of people on there, though, that said my comment of 14.1-14.3 times and 99-101 MPH traps is BS though.

You guys have to know, alot of these guys think there cars are faster then Lambo's... That's the kind of attitude many of them have.

Re: G35 Drivers, please post your stock 1/4 mile times

I'm sorry man, but most of us on the forum think that the G35 coupe is sweet *** car, and many of them switched over from the CL-S to a G35c, which I'm planning to do as well. There might one or two guys that bad mouth the G35c, but besides that most of us think they're pretty darn fast, and even like it better than the Z.
