Do yourself that favor and put the stock intake back on. Since the intake is directly connected to the throttle body, they are already at an advantage on blaming it on your aftermarket intake. Save yourself the headache and put the stock plastic POS back on...

Put the stock intake back in yesterday and reset the ECU and the check engine list went off but the engine idle is still a little off. Will take the car for service on saturday and post an update of what they say.

He said it was the throttle body. So he changed it in like 45min under warranty and i was outta there. Oh and yeah you might want to take that CAI off before taking it in cause theyll take advantage of you if you dont. I took mine off before i took mine it to them so there was no problem.
GrayG35 - Do you also have an Injen intake?

Here is the update:

Took the car in for service, they looked and searched and found nothing. They said everything is fine and nothing is wrong. I told them it there has to be something but they said that the ecu is clear. They said if it happens again just bring the car back and they will take it without a line. I guess its something. Im going to leave the stock intake for a couple of weeks to see if it acts up again.

that was a mistake on your part. it was a good idea that you install the oem intake air cleaner, but you shouldnt had reset the computer.
when the check engine light comes on, it stores freeze frame data, which will let the tech know exactly when the fault happened. this helps him duplicate the problem and can fix your problem.
most likely your check engine light will come on again, because when the light illuminates, that means the same problem occurred at least twice.

I know I made a mistake with resetting the ECU, at this time I guess I will just wait for it to come back on before I put the COI back in.

I had this same problem 2 weeks ago. Last Friday I took the car to the dealership (I have a stock 04) they told me it was due to the ABS chip shorting out, and they had to order the part. I asked them if they checked the throttle body, but the tech said that it wasn't the cause of it. On the way home, it happened again. I figured since they have the part on order, I'll wait till they put it in before I complain again. Hopefully this Wednesday, which is when is supposed to come in.
Is anyone one else doubting the idea that the ABS chip can cause this?
