g35 problem.. scraping noise

lately ive been hearing a scraping noise in the front of the car, mainly the left side, whenever i drive at low speeds. when im moving out of 1st, the scraping noise is kinda loud. then as i accelerate it disappears. when i come to a stop, i hear the sound again. it gets really loud when i come to a complete stop even in neutral as if my tire is scraping against the body or something. i checked underneath the car and found out that there was nothing. im guessing maybe my tranny is giving out on me? i hear a deep clunk when i engage the clutch in 2nd gear. it only happens when i press it hard and it's every once in a while. but besides that, does anyone have any idea what the first problem could be?

Mine sounds more like a rattle. Oh the joys of owning a G. Most of us experience these kinds of noises but according to Infiniti it's "normal." Just live with it. Turn up the music or get a loud exhaust. The sounds will always be a part of the G.
