Paint the stock Grill ?

I Have a black coupe and was wondering if anybody has ever painted the stock grill body color leaving just the Infinity symbol chrome? Not sure how it would look. I have a feeling you guys will tear the idea up. Have to it! What do you think?

here is the pic. it's hard to tell in this pic...but trust me...it looks sick

HOWEVER, if you have an IP coupe i do NOT reccommend painting the grille to match (even if you leave the emblem chrome (no offense nazty g)

i remember there was someone who posted a thread a couple weeks ago asking how an IP with a color matched grille would look. well...here it is...

^^(jmho)

i think it was one of the best decisions cosmetically taht i did, next to wheels of course...here is my LR coupe about a month ago, i think its a step that takes our cars away from the "luxury" chrome look and more towards that sports coupe

Don't paint your grillle...............!

I've painted several grilles on various cars and the upkeep is a PIA! Powder
coating is the way to go. Once it's done your thru except for cleaning.
You could do gloss or semi gloss black powdercoating.........it will look great
forever! LOL

how do you powder coat a plastic grill ? it would melt in the hardening process over @ 500 deg + plastic = no more grill

^^ you guys are correct
You can not powder coat plastic.
Having it painted at a bodyshop and clear coated is the best way to go.
