Beat to death but here goes...brakes
Beat to death but here goes...brakes
I know this has been covered and I have read I think every post on the subject...but what is the FINAL word on the best break pads? I have a 05 coupe and I was pretty happy with stock...but if I can get something better...great...price not an issue...I did want a place that overnights...any recommendations?
Hawk, Mu, Nismo...?

Hawks seem to be the most widely used and reliable for street/performance.
I dont think you can say there's any ONE pad out there that's the absolute best.
It's all your decision and what you're looking for in a pad.

I'm still not sure which pads to get...I was thinking Hawk but it seems like some people dont like for daily drving. I live in LA so its all stop and go. The oem pads on my 05 have always seemed good...should I just stick to oem? Or maybe Nismo? Just not sure...any final recomendations?
negatory on hawks. imo, those are popular b/c they are cheap and have little to no dust.
what is your definition of best? cheap with no dust? if so, then hawks are for you.
but imo, the initial bite on the hawks is crap. i didnt believe this at first so my friend took me for a drive in his with project mu pads...and then another z with hawks. and like i said, initial bite with the hawks is the pits.
project mu/endless pads are the way to go imo.
i havent really dont my research on axxis pads though...check those out too
