Who’s heavier? 2005 350Z Convertible or a 06 G?

I first off I want to say hello, being a new member of a 06 G35 coupe and to the site. My girlfriend’s brother has a 2005 Z Convertible automatic (low rev motor). The day after Thanksgiving I bought a 2006 G coupe 6MT. My question is which is heavier? Being that the Z has no back seat I assumed that it would be lighter by at least 300-400lbs. When I looked up the GRV of each car, they are within 100lbs of each other (give or take depending on options). The second question is who would win in a drag race?

I would say the 350Z should be higher in weight because they have to reinforce the upper frame for dot rules. As far as a drag race its who wins the tree wins the race.

This is so true...i was racing a modded SS camero at the track a couple weeks ago and his reaction times were crap. I hit .1 consistantly and took him by maybe 2 cars right off the start it took him a little bit past 1/8th mile to even start to catch up...I think you will win as long as you dont miss shift or anything.
