Easy fix for seatbelt guide on seats...

This thing drove me bonkers, the belt would always come out of the slot and end up getting caught forcing me to rethread it until the next time.

All I did was went to a place that sold clear vinyl tubing and got some 3/4" ID tubing, cut about 3" and slit it lengthwise. Put the belt in place and slip the tubing over the belt guide with the lengthwise slit facing UP.

Easy peesy ........never comes out now!

^^^ Home Depot or Lowes sells the clear vinyl tubing by the foot or yard or something. Pretty cheap. Just make sure you have an exacto knife or a sharp blade to make a clean cut.

This is a great idea for all you '06 coupe guys/girls, but one thing to mention is that if you do have people getting into the back seat often, it might be wise to only do this on the driverside since it'd be a pain to have to take the tube off and put it back on each time someone wants to get in/out of the car.

To Home Depot, like ahero said. ( Hey were you watching me? )

I have to say the aquarium batch I got was too stiff, it worked but it came off now and then. This Home Depot / Lowes stuff is very soft and flexible so look for that if you want to try it.

It cost me less than $1 to do both seats! I hardly ever use the back seats so I don't mind it being there when I DO want to clean the back window or something.

Make sure you use a sharp knife or razor blade and CUT AWAY FROM YOU! A utility knife can really fillet you if you slip!

I have an 06 "G" and tried the 3/4 ID tubing.. Did not really liked it so I went into the warhouse and grabbed a piece of the 1/2 in and I like it alot better. Let me drive around with it for a day and I will let you know what I think tomorrow.
