Eclipse AVN5495 no bass

i got my navigation installed today and right when i got in, i played music and it seems much more clearer but there is not a lot of bass like how the regular radio unit seems to put out. Is it supposed to be like this? or is there anyways to make the bass be more powerful like how it was before? I tried to play with the EQ a lot but it still seems like its not the same as before. Any help?

how high is the treble? You may want to lower it if it is too high

Are you using the stock speakers? You may want to boost the bass a bit.

Did your installer use a line converter?

Ok next test... If you hit MENU on the right hand side, and goto Volume and hit like 5 or 6, is the guidance voice really loud or can you hardly hear it?

If its not really loud, he didn't use a line converter...take it back

yes i did that and it worked. the guidance voice was louder when i press 5,6,7. so what else do u think can be the problem? Dont get me wrong there is still bass, but for sure not as powerful as before. Igor911 Did u notice a difference before and after the installation? Im the type that likes to put the volume on 18-20 on the regular radio unit with bass 5. Its not the same anymore! it feels like a 1 or even a 2 on the regular unit.

I only had my bose speakers working with the AVN for about a day or two as I was progressing my install.

Also don't forget, the bose speakers are only designed to perform at 100% with the factory radio.

Looks like your going to be changing your speakers soon or adding a sub...

It may have been installed (out of phase).on one side the positive and negative reversed.Adjust the balance from left to right,if the bass goes up just being on one side only,it is (out of phase).
