Re: Got a friend to buy a G35C

hmm, dunno about that.

Supra was owned by true enthusiasts and many of them modded their car.

The G is more of a luxury car that has speed, and is owned by many old women who drive it because of it's luxury.

Don't get me wrong, I (will soon) own a G, and (will) love it, but I don't see the direct comparison.

Either way good job with the converts.

Twlight blue/Willow 6mt on order. Options: Sunroof.

I would call it more of an evolution of ownership. Many of the owners here come from high end import sports cars, and have moved on to something that still has the "sport" factor, but is more "mature". I believe the G35 coupe meets the "sport" credentials these drivers will always crave, as well as the luxury/prestige they desire as they evolve as car owners...

I know it sounds corny, but I dont know, I guess thats how I would look at it. I could be wrong of course...

You hit it right on the head. That's why I bought it. I'm 24...but I don't want to be driving a boy toy. I don't race, and I guess I'm just not the type. The G35 coupe is great. Everyone and their mother gives me compliments. I'm glad I went for this instead of the 350z.

Re: Got a friend to buy a G35C

It doesnt really take much to convince a true car enthusiast to purchase a G35 coupe... When I was in the market for a new car... I had my heart set on a 350Z w/performance package. After weeks of researching on the Z, I went to the Nissan dealer to work out a deal. While at the Nissan dealership, there happened to be a DG G35 coupe in the lot =) All my research on the Z was forgotten as soon as I sat inside the G. Three days later, I walked out from the Infiniti dealership with a DG Coupe w/Prem, NAV, and aero. And I haven't looked back since.

With the amount of commute that I drive everyday, the G was just a wiser decision. As much as I love the styling of the Z, comfort and refinement of the G won over all else in my book. Being that I was an absolute Honda lover since a child, the G really left all my ideal vehicles behind.

Supra is not the same by far...

BUT yea, the G is gettin popular.

I think the 350z resembles Supra more .. But I have a feeling Toyota may release the Supra .. Because before the Z series, RX series, and Supra series were released at about the same time .. Maybe in a few years?
