690 hps ???
in car and driver mag. current issue (dec 03) they mention a 2002 twin turbo nissan 350z with 690 hps.too bad,7 miles into the test,a tire blew up so they did'nt post any numbers.the reason i bring this up is:if they can pack 690 ponies in a Z .i don't see why not a 500/600 hps G35 in a near future.what do you think ?

Re: 690 hps ???
I have a pic of the 350Z you are talking about. Word had it that it could go to 800+RWHP but they detuned it to make the desert run (the run in where it crashed). It was Jun's car. They had a stroker kit on it, retail cost of that kit alone ran for $11,000. They have no intention on selling the stroker kit to the public as they said it was a bit troublesome to work with. I will try to post the pic later if possible but I am at work right now (I have a short memory and I won't be home till tomorrow).

Re: 690 hps ???
Hey, everyone has a hobby and for some people that hobby is trying to get ridiculous HP numbers out of a particular type of car. It doesn't have to make any practical sense for it to be fun.
Other senseless hobbies include: car audio competitions where the goal is to get the loudest stereo (nearing 200db), stacking dominos in a two mile long line, growing out your fingernails until they touch the ground, and eating 55 whole hotdogs in a 5 minute span.
