Headlight Story
Headlight Story
So I took my car to the dealership the other day because my battery died on me and it is pro-rated through them and no charge for the install and they gave me a 07 sedan loaner (sweet). When I call about picking up my car they rep tells me that need some more time because the housing on my headlights where cracked but it was warrenteed because it was nothing I could have caused. So I asked if they would put 06 projectors in instead of replacing my 03's but he said "no it has to be the same one for the warranty claim". I even offered to pay the difference (if any) but he still would not do it. So good news is my cloudy, $hitty looking headlights are gone and I have nice clean, clear ones but why would they not give me the 06's and make a little money on it? I thought for sure that was my chance to score some 06's for a good price.
that's why they work at a dealorship and not some customer-service sales driven competitive upscale company; those people are fawking stupid who don't know how to make money the right way.
sales at a dealorship are blood-suckers, and service people at a dealorship are just plain idiots. =P

Seemed strange to me too. Why would'nt they take any extra cash they could get? They could not have made anything for a $65 battery w/install and give me brand new loaner.

because it's procedure and corporate procedures sometimes stick their own foot in their own mouths. the part number has to match up for the right part that came on the car (determined by vin) and the dealership don't care because they get reimbursed by infiniti no matter what. infiniti might "deny" the reimbursement if the proper procedures were not followed...its dumb..because the 06 list price is lower than the 03-05 i believe. but then again....corporate rules......sorry buddy
