Battery

Quick question for you guys with '05. Have you replace the battery yet? I don't want to get stuck somewhere because I haven't change the battery. How long does that OEM battery last anyway. I don't let my headlights burn after I get out of the car or even turn the radio on with the engine off (not for long period).

A battery should last upwards of 4 years if you don't ever let it run low or become completely dead.

I think our batteries are crap though. Mine is just under 2 1/2 years old and it seems noticeably weaker than it used to be a year ago. I'll probably replace it with an Optima soon... and not worry about it ever again.

our batteries are good, you just have to maintain them or they suck like walmart batteries...people just tend to forget since its covered up and not in sight

^ Speaking of Optima...

What is the big ADVANTAGE to spending that much $$$ on a Battery?

I was thinking of getting an Optima, but there are like (2 or 3) choices and they go from expensive, to "WTF, it's just a battery right!?!?"

What's the G35Driver's community .02 on this ??

Thanks Guys!

Hahaha. Probably the easiest DIY there is. Should take about 5-10 minutes to put in a new battery. All you need is a ratchet or wrench set and a flathead screwdriver(to get out the pop rivets that hold the battery cover casing in place).
