Lightbulb Magnetic oil drain plug to capture suspended metallic particles?!?!

What are the chances of a magnetic oil drain plug catching whatever metallic is suspended in the oil. Also, is the location of the plug in a place where when the G is parked with the engine off all metallic particles will collect around it?

Here is the link of such thing on eBay: link

as far as i know you dont need it because the g uses non ferrous metals for the engines internals. im not sure though. i know the differentials already use the magnetic drain plug, so if they put one there, they probably would have put one for the engine if it needed it.

Well, If that is true then a magnetic plug will be useless.
