Which year G Coupe to buy
Im in the market for a used G35 coupe. Which year is the best in your opinons? Price doesn't matter. I.e. which one isn't going to give me alot of problems, and do all of the 2003-2006 g coupes look the same?

it really just depends on your financial situation. if you buy any G from the 07 or older the resale value is going to take a large hit b/c of the 2008 new body style... but if you plan on keeping the car for many years to come like most ppl with a G will then bye whatever you can afford... also the 03-04 have brembos, 05 doesn't, and 06-07 has different taillights and bluetooth with the premium package, and rear active steering... just some info for you

what features do you want, and which version are you getting? 6MT, or auto?
03-04 6MT comes with more torque (less HP) and brembos. It is also arguable that they come with a inferior interior, but that is debateable.
05 and up 6MT's come with the "rev-up" motor. the rev up motor has more HP at the expense of less torque, also, no brembo brakes. Also, they come with real aluminum trim for the console. However, interior quality is still fairly crappy.
06+ coupes (AT and MT) come with the more desireable projector headlamps, and different tail lights. The spoiler is also different on the 06+ coupes.
there really isn't a point in getting the 07 coupe, as the 08 coupe will have a engine that is supposed to be able to compete realistically with the BMW 335's new engine. Also, the car will have a new body style and supposedly a much nicer interior (refer to 07 sedan). But you said you werent buying it new, so this will not be an issue.

...i have an 05 and will be upgrading to the 06 headlights eventually...05 tails are nicer tho imo

Im also wondering the same thing. I could care less about a rev-up engine all G's are slow as hell in na form. But I did hear somewhere that 03's didnt have hid's? If thats true then the 04 model would be the only one with brembos and hid's? Or is that not true about the 03 headlamps?
