lookin to do some major work on my car

just got a bonus and i feel like spoiling myself.

i have a choice here:

-apr widebody kit with a full paint job (yellow possibly, i dont think OB would do it)
-vortech supercharger
-wheels, not sure, but nice ones.

im not sure how much the total cost would be

i figure the apr widebody kit is 4500, plus about 3-5k into a good paint job on the whole car

supercharger is good reliable power + some money for tuning and gauges, what not, but not sure how tuning goes in the long run, any info?

wheels, they're wheels, but they need rubber too!!! prob end up around 5500, chepest of my choices

i want to give my car a one of akind look, but the prob is if i get the APR, i need wheels to fit the dman fenders, which im not sure if i want to drop that much money into my car at once i lvoe my baby but im lookin at over 10k for that option. the vortech would make my car a nice sleeper.

anyways, this probably wont take place until summer when i have some time off, any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Ok
5000.00 for the kit including shipping
7000.00 - 8000.00 for install of kit, paint and bodywork (mounting the kit, rear quarters ect)
5000.00 rims and tires.
5000.00Vortech
1000.00 install of Vortech
1000.00 gauges ect. plus install
So 24000.00 est. Plan for another 1500.00 for BS that comes up

i am not a speed freak so i cant quite relate to why you would want to put in a super charger. but its your choice/money!

doesnt super charger mess up your engine? =) not to mention it voids ur warranty.

save up and get the 08 G coupe if you gonna stick with the G..
or
you can get other body kits (full) and then mod them so you will have
one of a kind look!
supercharger is great to have one..but
i think you are more concerned in a look, not a performance....
anyways
congrats on your BONUS..
definitely post pics when you do this.

looks like vortech is winning

anyone that has it, ive heard the reliability is the best of any FI for the VQ's. is this true? anyone regret getting theirs?

whats been the total cost of having hte s'charger put on?

seoul, im not more concerned about look than performance, i jsut want a one of a kind g and i know pretty much no one has the apr widebody kit... cept apr.. maybe a few others? i know it would be kinda pointless ot have the body and not be able to back it up with an engine

vortech is lookin pretty good now

i dont want an 08 coupe, im very pleased with my current G. maybe ill just get a suspension setup with the vortech... i dunno. still osme time to discuss with you guys, ill keep u updated.

DUDE...this thread is as generic as they come.

you can't seriously be considering actually going through with this are you?

hopefully you're just bored and posting, like i normally do.

if you do go through with this, i'd be very surprised.

a project like this is usually dragged out over a yr or so, and mostly put together piece by piece, not all at once.

more power to you if you do it. like i say to many of the posters who post this, send me a picture of your car when you're done doing everything you posted here and i'll paypal you $50.

but if you don't, you shoot me over $5.

1, you will be spending around 15k for everything you listed. 2, don't paint a classy car like big bird. 3, I personally hate SP and think in the long run, as far as reliability and tunning goes, are for superceded by any turbo kit.
