Re: got pulled over tonight..

Let's not wish death on anyone. (Head back to that M3 canyon racer thread....)

The problem is, it doesn't matter how good you think you are, or how good you really are.. you cannot predict what other drivers (and large animals that like to jump onto the highway) are going to do.

Now, there's also no reason to keelhaul that officer. I doubt that she could visually tell the difference between 85 and 105 with no other cars on the road for reference, if the radar didn't catch you.

Heed the warning. Join the SCCA and find safe venues to race.

Yeeeeeahhh, video games don't make you a good driver...When I see Ferrari or McLaren backing you up as their driver I'll believe that you can justify good driving at excessive speeds while putting the public at risk...Oh wait- professionals don't condone this kind of driving either...X factor is the key here- person walking, animal crossing, dark-colored car with only visible when it's too late...You don't know what's coming next...But like Serum says, maybe someone here will pay the price for this wanna-be racer crap and then maybe will the irresponsible driving will stop...Wanna hit these speeds off the track? Move to Europe and hit up the Autobahn...

Yeah, I just get frustrated. I don't really want anyone to die, but certain people only learn the hard way.

To add to your post...you never know if a tire is gonna blow out, electronic failure of some kind...anything, no matter how small....might happen. The dumb *** wannabe racer crap will never stop, but at least a few might learn a lesson and be more careful.

"If Infiniti didn't want you to drive aggressively in this car, they wouldn't have given it a 280hp engine and great handling and Brembo brakes...this car loves being pushed hard and we're just enjoying it. I will now add the sacred "IMO" to the end of this post so nobody can disagree or argue with me. IMO."

do cigarette companies sell cigs knowing they can cause cancer? yes. don't act dumb. that's the whole concept of being a "responsible and educated" driver. christ.

Stay with the facts and opinions without the namecalling please. We've had enough 'Wars' lately. We don't need another.
Peace guys.

That's right, and he's apologised. So let's go on shall we.
If no one else has anything more constructive to say, and if the bickering doesn't stop, then this thread will be closed.
Boy it sure doesn't take much to get this crowd going does it.
Now everyone please cool it.

Re: got pulled over tonight..

First off, I haven't called anyone a name, and I've stayed on subject...Secondly, the "he started it" comment just shows that the Coupe forum has growing up to do...Thirdly, unless the streets are empty and nobody is on the sidewalks, you can't say you aren't likely endangering anyone...Triple digit speeds aren't acceptable off the track, bottom line...Driving isn't defined as being a jackass and disregarding other people's safety...These cars were built to perform, true- and they are sold worldwide, where the laws, driving conditions, and ingrained driving practices differ...There is no Autobahn in the US...Track it or be responsible...

Oh, IMO
