no auto with manual mode is anything like the 6mt. also, if you complain about the traffic being so bad you cant drive it then you never drove a manual in traffic. the car doesnt have the need to hold the brake and its much smoother(if you know how to drive it properly). if the traffic is so bad anyways, why not just get a sweet bicycle and save yourself some money?

OMG. I could care less who drives what. But no need in ******* the auto so much! In stock form it may not be amazing, but you can't say the auto will NEVER match a stick because I know mine can... in more then 1 way.
What would you tell Supra guys with 800+ rwhp who have autos? They have automatics because at that point, biult, they are faster then the manual guys.
What do you tell the Ferrari owner who doesn't have a cluch, only paddle shifters?... and I promise will shift faster then 90% of the people out there...
Maybe the 6MT guys just think its the **** cuzz their car is slow :-P

It's not so much which tranny is faster, rather it has more to do with skill and fun. Sure an auto Supra or Ferrari may beat me off the line, but what does that driver do to beat me?...Mash on the pedal?
Takes zero skill. I think we love our MTs because we control every aspect of the car. Everyday I drive my car it's like a new adventure...from down shifting to pass a car on the highway...playing with the clutch in traffic (no brakes!)...launching from a stop light...revving your engine in a parking lot before taking off when you see a hot chick
