Does anyone actually have a 6-speed base (leather) with no options (no sunroof, no Bose). I'm in the market to get a new one and i'm wondering if anyone has order this configuration and how hard was it to get, wait time. And any regrets.

I got one...no regrets so far its a great car...i no use sunroof anyways so no matter also i dont care for the wing...Only gripe is the paint problem on the bumpers...Thats about it!!!...Alohas!

I'm close to your story, I ordered a base 6-Speed with Splash Guards and the Bose as the only option. The dealer was really cool and said it would be a 3-4 month wait. We will see how it plays out.

 

i got splash guards also, but they are dealer installed. only difference is if it's on the original order or not. either way, dealer installs.

i didn't get bose because based on every car i owned (except for my first - 1968 mustang) i had basic factory radio. so i figured the std radio with 100+ watts would be a step up either way and i'm happy with it.

I've had mine for a month now. Absolutely no regrets, I love the car. Getting a g35 cheaper than a 350 track model, which is the only way to get the brembos on a 350, is a steal in my opinion. Mine was a T order and I waited 3 months.

I did put some infiniti reference in the rear side panels to replace the lame factory 6 1/2's. I'm not changing the front component 6 1/2's because they have great bass response for 6.5's. Though the tweeters in the front are a bit tinny sounding the rear infiniti's balance them out pretty well.

I was told you couldn't get the bose without the premium package. I hope that works out ok.

I guess I'll have to find a willing dealer around the LA area that will order one for me and wait it out. I rarely use the sunroof in my current car and intend on upgrading my stereo myself like i've done with my previous cars. manual, brembos, leather, lumbar, backseat, frameless windows--all my favorite things.

Should one expect to get anything off the MSRP if a BASE configuration is ordered?
If yes, then does anyone know of any dealerships in Texas that would do it?

 

If a dealer is actually going to go below MSRP it's typically to sell cars that are currently on the floor. Since you will always have to order a Base Coupe it is unlikely you will get a discount.

dothemath: the guy I ordered the Coupe from recently said nothing about not being able to get the Bose without the Premium Package... and if you look in the G35 Coupe brochure, in the back it lists the Bose Stereo system as an individual option.

You should have heard the reaction of this young salesman at the Nissan dealer when I told him how much I paid for the G. It's not like I didn't pay sticker mind you, it is just all those salesman at my local Nissan dealer don't believe you can touch a g for under 36, 37 thousand. All the guy kept saying is " Damn, Infiniti is kicking out a$$", and then told my a G coupe was going to be his next car. It's not like they are really seperate companies in the big scheme of things. As I drove off, he was in the showroom talking to another salesman and pointing at my car.

I wouldn't expect a price break on a special order, but it is always worth asking.

Just put my order in right now, base 6 speed, Ivory/Graphite, sunroof. At first i didn't want the sunroof but then I had the salesmen open and close it and put the tilt feature on and i liked it. I'm 5'10 so its not like i need the extra room without it. I guess the waiting begins now. BTW the salesman told me that you could order the 6 sp with cloth interior if one chose to.
