BOSE headunit seems to have died

I have an 06 coupe with only about 2300 miles on it and today i turned it on, the XM came on and was playin a song i didnt like at all and so i used the **** on the front to turn the volume down until i got outta the parking lot.... well i turned it pretty quickly (but gently) and the volume went just a few numbers down and then froze, the sound was completely gone, and after a couple seconds the display cut completely off.... i pressed the power button several times, turned the car off and on a couple times, still doesnt work.... all the buttons are still lit up but no display and no sound

i searched but didnt see this exact problem with anybody else but has this happened before??

side question: does anybody know how much each OEM 19" weighs with no tire??

as usual, thanks very much!

if you feel like getting behind it you should check out the ribbon strip that connects almost right behind the 6 button. mine came loose during an iPod install and it wouldn't allow the display to come on or anything.
