According to my Navi screen my gas miliage went up about 10mpg, usually around 25-30 on average. If I'm on a long highway trip it'll hit over 35.

Of course, with 650cc injectors, a return fuel system, and a UTEC the navi has absolutely no idea how much fuel I'm actually using.

My DD is actually my sisters car (she is a freshman in college so she couldn't take it with her). When she is home on breaks I drive my G to and from work everyday. As long as you don't race every car on the road gas isn't a big deal. My biggest fuel related problem is that I will only put Sunoco 94 in the car, and if I can't find a Sonoco I'm screwed and have to settle for BP 93.

i would have gone for the engine build but i told myself, what are your power goals? Which reminded me that i would be fine on a stock block.

All i have to say is one thing. My friend with an e46 does not wave his keys at me anymore.

Tell me some of your stories pre turbo and after turbo=)

if you're running 11's you're beating most cars on the road.

Holy crap.

391 WTQ is ALOT, especially for a stock engine.

any more than that and youll need en engine rebuilt or modified to keep it safe.

Remember, torque can be more dangerous and hp on a stock engine.

Nice numbers by the way

You should use your tripodometer in conjunction with the amount of fuel it takes to fill the tank back up to full at your next fillup in order to determine your actual fuel economy and then see if it is way different than what your NAV reads for that tank of fuel. I'd be curious to see how much your mods threw the NAV's readings off as far as economy is concerned.

It would have to be way different:

Stock Navi assumes static fuel pressure, I have a rising rate regulator.

Stock Navi assumes stock fuel injectors, mine are almost twice the size

Stock Navi assumes stock duty cycles for injectors, my UTEC controls duty cycle

Once any of the above parts is modified the OEM navi can't accurately determine MPG.

uh.... yeah.... I have a turbo'd car and i know for sure that gas mileage did not improve with my turbo and tune....

and i'm running with a chipped ecu on hondata....

what is the OP running on? FMU?

maybe if u are not punching it then yes, i can imagine that MPG would improve with a good tune... but people who put turbos on their car do not put it on so and drive around like a bltch.....

they punch the shlt out of it every chance they get..

anyways, to the original poster, do you mind posting your exact setup and what EMS u are using? and can you please post some pics?

thanks.

Generally speaking the finer you tune your car the better mileage you should get. Although, if you floor it every second it doesnt matter how great your mpg is

I'm going to have to disagree with you there.

Some people who build these cars understand that the harder you drive them the more they break.

Fuel efficiency on the highway should improve, but around town it should drop a bit. In boost, it will decline dramatically.
