hey guys, i remember once a saw in a catalog cushion or rubber covers that go over impact wrenches, so when you try to take your lug nuts off the outer edge of the impact wrench doesnt scratch up the inner wall where the lug nuts go thru..anyone know anything about this?

The torq bar is to stopping you over torq the lug nut or damage your thread screw and the socket is to stopping you scratch your rims / lug nuts. I also just sell the socket set without the torq bar. Let me know if you want more information.
