Help!

Ok. I got a question. Long story short, I noticed the other day that someone hit my car. Small dent/scratch on my rear bumper. Right near my license plate. Sorry...no pics. About an inch. Anyhow....should I even contact my insurance company? Hit and run? Or would my insurance go up? Or should I just pay it out of my pocket? Thanks in advance.

I work for a state farm insurance agency. Hit and runs are considered comprehensive (same as a tree falling on your car) so NO, your insurance will not go up. Just try not to make a claim on every little scratch on the car cause it might get you cancelled.

how old are you? are you on your parents policy??

if ur under 25 and on your own policy, dont claim it....cause if u have a bigger claim later, or an accident, u will probably get dropped.

if your on ur parent's policy and have a gurantee not to be dropped or are older and have been with them for a while without making a claim then u can claim it if the repair is significantly more than the deductable

I'm 28, and no they are not on my policy. I'm on the policy by myself. Yeah, I've been with them since I was 16. 21st Century. I've been in one accident. A minor one about a year ago. And before that I was in a accident, other parties fault when I was 17. Other than that I have a clean record.

Thanks again everyone!!!

your insurrance deductable would be more than the cost of you just fixing it without reporting it. I second the new bumper idea.
