Ya man, everyone can act african american now, its 2007 baby!!! We all can rock them dub-two's now!!!!!!!!

There's nothing wrong with 22's or that green G. Yall are crazy, that G is sweet. Customizing is exactly that, being custom not doin what the norm is; Originality. This G is unique which is why its awesome! Make yer own G man, people have their own opinions and it helps to get them sometimes, but do whatchu you wanna do, not what other people think you should do. 22's is not gay or anything, you own a G baby!!! woo!
i feel that ...but really & truly its not about "acting" african american, black or acting anything for that matter.
on some real shlt i like Vans & other sk8board sneakers would i be "acting white" if i bought a pair?
just be yourself & buy what u like whether is 22's or 55's LOL

think back ...in 96-99
19's & 20's was a "black" thing ...now 19's & 20's are a standard for all races of ppl & more than half of G owners on this forum!

in the infamous words of RK ...cant we all ...just get a long!!!!

anyway back on topic ...go for the 22's just ask around about getting the ecu reflashed because of the weight of the rims especially if its an auto & buy a set of 5 rims ..u'll need the spare LOL

Ouch. Your ride quality, although it isnt great stock, will suffer greatly and your engine is going to be pushed a lot harder to do the same work....but I guess thats the price to pay for looking cool.

For me, a set of 18s or max 19s look great and flow well with the design of the car. A g35 with 22 inch wheels would look as rediculous as a monster truck with 13 inch daytons IMO, but its your car so do what you want.

Hello,

I don't think you have to worry to much about the ECU. The big thing with over sized wheels and tires is your speedometer. With 22's at 65 your most likely doing 62-63. There is more rotational mass to move. Our G has a custom single turbo kit on, and a custom EMS. We dynod the car last week (with the 22's on), and made 452.3 RWHP on stock internals. Also, just a few days ago, my boss was on his way home, and walked a BMW 6-Series off the line (Not an M6)! My final words, do what YOU want. There will always be critics, don't get sucked in.

O, and if you need to get a good price on some Dub-Duces... call the shop on monday! Have a good weekend everyone!

I'm offended by your comment. It sounds like you're saying only black people do 22's...or that it's okay for black's with 22's to look stupid.

In the past 3 weeks, I have seen several nice cars with 22's that I didn't like but only one was black.
I saw a white 50-ish guy putting 22's on both his S-class and Bently.
I saw a white kid with 22 on his GS300.
I saw a black guy with 22 on his CL550.

Watch yourself.

Quote: stick with 18, 19's... 20 is a little over the limit imo... unless u like the off road look.
Haha, look who decided to stop by, according to him you should downgrade to 17's and put a 45 series tire.

22's!!!! the first ever G35 donk! but on a real note, i sell all kinds of parts to my customers and have really built some interesting cars. in my opinion, get whatever you like, just make sure it fits properly. with 22's you might be running into clearance issues, rubbing issues, and even driveability issues. make sure that whoever you're getting all the parts from can guarantee the fitment without issues. i was not aware of the g35 being able to hold 22's (which amazes me, didnt even notice that the intense car was on 22's while i was at sema!). good luck with your build. who knows? maybe down the line, you'll decide to go with the more traditional 19 or 20 inch wheel scheme.

yikes, 22s on a GS is just bad unless its the 3rd generation.

I think they look fine on plenty of cars, especially the dodge chargers and 300c's, but the GS is a fairly small car in comparison and the wheels would look akward I think.

You know how there is a wheel size that fits just right with the styling of every car? Civics look best with a nice 17, 2nd gen GS's look great with 20s, and G35s fit perfectly with a 19 or maybe 20 depending on the rim.
