im kinda in the same situation however i chose to get an automatice cause i had never driven stick before then i learned on my dads Z and have regretted it ever since. I have an 06 DG about 7k miles with everything but nav and unfortunately i dont have the option of trading it in for a 6mt because i cant afford a hit of even a few grand. But if you can take a 5g hit or so id say do it or like ahero said, do a conversion.

lol, i was joking about the conversion.

a conversion is only worth it if the rest of the car is hella modded like my friend's. but if it's a stock g then it'd be a better choice imo to trade it in

Once the 08 comes out you probably wont get as much for your car... older model + more miles+ body dmg (we have soft paint)+ whatever else happens to it till then. Plus you wont get any breaks on the price for an 08 since its gonna be on high demand.

I think you might be able to get a good deal on a 06 now since 07s are the new thing and your car is still pretty new and in demand.

Really depends on your financial situation and patience.

I wont even buy the 08 as it will have problems as with every new model and design. Same thing when the 03 came out...it had issues and now the 05 and 06's are solid. I never purchase a new model newly redesigned vehicle so I say keep your car as its still just as fast as a 6mt...drive it in triptronic mode and save your money... trading it in is useless as you will get raped

Who knows you might even want a faster car at that time and not even want a G...

I should shed some more light on the situation: have recently been bitten by the urge to do some road course track events!!! Kind of takes away half the fun and skill to do that with an auto...not to mention the verbal flogging I would have to endure.
