I don't think the stock alarm is very good. It doesn't go off unless someone open the door. Last weekend some idiot backup into my front license plate mounted by an adapter from strictlyz.com and bended it. Of course the alarm didn't go off. I am now thinking about getting an after market alarm with a pager on it plus a remote starter for the winter. It's getting colder here in chicago. Anyone has install something like this on their G35c? Where should I get it done around here in chicago? Thanks guys

 

It would also be nice if you can have a voice say "step away from the G!" in robocop voice or something if someone gets too close, like a foot or something

I have the DEI Viper 791XV installed onto my G35 Coupe for two months now. Got it when DEI first came out w/ this 2 months ago and is a 5 channel remote start, w/ 3 auxiliary outputs. Range is approximately 5 blocks straight on. I have the Prestige 996 on my G35 sedan for over a year and half and do also recommend this. Expect the price on these alarms installed to be about $600 from a professional auto security shop. Hope this helps.
