Lower w/ Stock Wheels?

I'd like to drop my new 07 G down a bit. Was on 575 N on the way home today and another G was next to me in stop-n-go. I HAD to have been 1-2 inches higher up than him. I don't want to have to invest in new tires/wheels (hell the car only has 500 miles after 1.5 weeks). What can I do to lower it a bit? Also, are there spacers that can widen the stance a bit. I'd really like to have the outside of the wheels flush or out a bit with the body. Stock, they're in about an inch.

TIA

you can get springs or coilovers...depends on how much you want to spend...

also consider how much a camber kit will be if you slam it...

you can get some wheel spacers...lots of people get em to push the stock 18s/19s out to sit flush with the fenders...

what is your budget?

go coilovers with rear AND front cambers

do it right and in order to you need to spend the money

with that setup, your looking around 1500 give or take

I hadn't really thought about the budget yet. Maybe $1K? Haven't done any research/pricing work yet. Can I do both within that amount?

springs - 150-225 depending on which you get and where you get them from

coils - at least 750

rear camber kit - 200

typical labor charges from a shop - 125-175 for springs plus 25-50 for the camber kit if you do it at the same time

alignment - 50-75

spacers - 20-200 depending on which you get and where you get them from

yup heros about right..My advice would be to go on springs first..As your struts start to wear you can switch to coils..

Good luck and by the way, this car looks great lowered on stock wheels, especially the oem 19s..

I don't know jack about camber kits, but wouldn't I need both a kit for front and rear? If you lower the car, isn't that going to kick in both the front and rear wheels? Wouldn't the kit get them both back out straight?

depending on how much you drop it...

most dont bother with the front because it's so damn expensive. a little negative camber isnt always a bad thing

I don't have much more than an inch to play with before I'm in the wheel well. I thought I've seen a bunch of 1 inch springs around.

what wheels do you have? oem 17s, 18s, or 19s?

you shouldnt have a problem...just plan it out...what size tires you have on which wheels, what size spacers youre going to get, etc. you shouldnt need to roll the rear fenders unless you get some really big spacers.

Gimme. I've got the 19s with stock rubber. The white car looks slick, but could use some spacers IMO.
