Hey guys....

So I bought a 1000 watt PPI amp

I am trying to decide which speakers to buy.........

Which subs do you think would work best with this amp?

I plan to get a box custom built to get the best sound quality possible, and also leave me with as much trunk space as I can have.

Any opinions are appreciated

alphasonik 800 series 10" woofers, but i'm biased to alphasonik

2 JL w6v2's would match pretty good with that PPI.

+1 2 JL 10W6V2's would be gnarly. They'd hit hard and be loud. Ive got a 500/1 amp and one JL 10W6V2 and its plenty for me. Check out the 4080 boxes that fit into the cut outs of the sides of the trunk.

do you think its better to have both subs in one box, or two seperate ones on each side?

 

even if they're in one box, you're going to want to put a wall in the middle of the box to have each sub in its separate compartment. If you want the most trunk space possible then i'd get a fiberglass box like the 4080 on either side of the trunk.
