Help Driver Side Lock not responding

Pretty much as the title says my driver side lock is not responding to my remote basically it won't open and close both doors. Only the passenger side door responds. In order to open the driver side i have to use my key.

FYI there is nothing worse than entering your car through the passenger side. that's Embarrassing. lol not that i've had to do it but i can just imagine.

anyways...

I'm only speculating here but i think the cold weather here on the north east is causing it to act up. When i physically flip the **** inside or open with the key it feels stiffer than usual.

Has anyone ever had a problem like this???

Any ideas as to how i fix it?

There may be a simple re-set that can be done to the locking mechanism. I'm sure you can call the dealer and ask on of the techs a how to. I know when my S2000 did a similar thing, it was a matter of a few buttons to be pushed, and viola.

Good luck.

I've had a similar issue with an older car turned out it was just because it was cold out. Garage it or just wait till it gets warmer out and it should go back to normal. Also try sitting inside the car and hitting unlock and see if u hear the motor trying to unlock if u hear it then its just probably frozen.

Mine is doing the same thing. With your door open so you can see the lock press your remote. You'll probably see it move a little or "twitch". Usually this means the motor is bad and has weakened.

Not the cold huh?

Thanks for you responses.

Ok i'll call the dealer to see if it's the door lock actuator in the mean time i guess i'll just pull that area apart to check for dirt maybe it just needs some wd40.
