Tax and reg usually is around 10% (8.25% sales tax, plus DMV fees and whatnot). What rebates were you offered? I was told there were none, but they are running a special 3.99% financing deal.

Ok so i think i went to carmax and entered some info and etc. and the next day at school i got 3 calls all within 2 hours from different dealers. I think it was santa monica that offered 1500 off. Not bad. But im trying to wait till 08 come out so maybe i can get it for 30k. So how much would it be otd for a 30k car, putting into consideration all the things you said.

OTD on a $30k car would be around $33K+, depending on the dealer fees.

So, straight up, would I be doing decently to get a 2007 Black/Black 6mt coupe, with no options, out the door for $35k? If not, what should I be looking at? Thanks!
wait for the 08 coupe

What dealership did you go to? If i were you id look at the 06 models cause the 07 are identical to the 06. But if you can wait then wait liek 4 months till the 08 come out. Im gussing you will be able to bargain thousands on the 06 and 07 models since they will be "1-2" years old. The dealership will also wanan get them off their lot

Cool

bad deal. i bought mine for 35k, 2006 5AT Coupe (can compare it to a 2007 becoz they are literally the same) with prem pkg. I live in NorCal so i am guessing prices should compare?

g/l

personally i would wait for the 2008 =) if you are in dire need of a car then shop around and look for a better quote

I got my '04 auto w/ every option (including Perf tires and wheels) except navi for about $36,000. I fought to get 2G's knocked off and won. You can do better!!

MSRP that the dealers are running for this car is $34,050, plus destination charge of $700. Invoice is $31,313. If I make a deal AT INVOICE for the car, it comes out to $35,271 (this includes splash guards and trunk mats, since all the dealers here order those).

How can I get a better deal? What can I do to make the dealer knock off more money. Oh, and by the way, there are practically no 06's around here. The only one I've found so far had a sunroof.

Please advise, oh wise G'ers!!!

I don't HAVE to get the car right away, but I have a car damaged from an accident that I would like to get rid of whenever I can. I'll be needing to pick up this car sometime in the early summer (at the latest), if I don't do it now, but would of course prefer to have it asap.

For people quoting their prices, are you talking about OTD price, or without fees/tax/reg/etc? What is the specific breakdown of the extra fees and taxes that the dealer charged you? What tax rates are you talking about? Thanks!

(I don't really want to wait for the '08s to come out)
