alignment and/or tire balance should be the only reason for wheels rumbling and if your had that done (correctly) than your tire(s) could we warped

What about the front tires? I have bad rumbling from the front tire feathering problem that was common on early G Coupes and 350Z's. Once the tires have worn in a way to cause noise, balancing and alignments will not help at all with the noise.

+1 here. Are you sure it's coming from the rear tires? I was recently trying to find out what the noise was all about. Search the forum for "negative camber." If it's coming from the front tires, that's why.

I'm not sure if the rear tires have a negative camber as well.

I have the same issue but it is the front, it is more pronounced when going slow or slowing down to a stop.

I have the cupping/feathering problem on my 04 with Yokohmaha AVS 100 for the fronts. The tire roar was loud as hell. I replaced with el-cheapo Kumho Ecsta SPT with alignment and now no more roar. I am sure the roar will come back once it cups again, but hoping that wont happen for awhile.

it is the front tires....they are worn a bit more on the inside due to the negative camber....so would rotating them by unmounting them and switching the fronts keeping the direction correct fix this problem...
