Did you hit something?!?!?!

What was the cause of the wheel bearing going bad?

Pot holes?

What happens, or what do you hear when the bearing goes bad.

Hmm...first time I've heard of that. Well, what did they give you for a loaner? Have you done donuts in your G yet? Why not have some fun with the loaner in the meantime, you know...make the best of it?

You hear a worling / growling sound that usually increases in pitch with more speed...

usually doesnt happen till higher miles or if you badly curb a wheel really really bad or hit a bad pot hole that will probably damage other suspensino parts or the wheel first...

at least you are having it taken care of, im so tired of these people complaining about parts having to be replaced...you should be happy you have a warranty that takes care of you.

+1,

I went to infiniti and was going to have my axel clicking fixed...they told me i needed a whole need axel, when in reality it just needs to be lubed up. something that should cost 120 they wanted to charge me 750 for....

Ah, what I've seen from Stealerships (not just Infiniti) is what you mentioned above: When you are in Warranty, they will fix the clicking noise with the simple TSB, but when you are out of Warranty, they want to replace the entire thing!

each dealership is different, ive gone in with a list of repairs needing to be done and were all done with no questions asked. at the same time i have taken my car there for services i could do elsewhere but just to throw some change at them, it greases the wheels...you have to love out of warranty repairs being done for free
