absolutely!

They have a painted surface which is much easier to repair.

It cost me $600 here in Texas, dang, was that all 4? I have rash on one but all have chips etc. so I need to do all 4 after these 70K miles. I like the stock 18s so I rather keep em' than change em for now... Kinda keeps the car 'sleeper' looking, especially after 16 more months, it's paid off and the FI is coming.

Sometimes you get debris from the road and they can chip or get into your brakes... I have damage on 3 rims in the center spokes from flying **** on the road... Trucks dropping things that explode on contact and fly to the sides etc. I even have one Brembo that has a chip

Well technically it was for two of the wheels that were curbed, but I got them to rifinish all of them because the others had marks on the spokes and stuff.

$600 is way over retail unless they were severely curbed/bent. Dealerships pay about $50 per wheel on average, so $100 a wheel is as much as you should cough up.

+1 on SL Metals. I brought my iForged there to repowdercoat them and they came out so much better then when they were new, the color looks sick in person. Right now I have my stock 19's on and put a pretty bad curb rash on them. But I couldnt care less, its just gonna feel soo much better when i change the rims, lol. If that were to haooen to my 20's, I would definitely cry.

Im just sure what your wheels are made of, BUT.. if they are polished lips, and im guessin curb rash = lips were damaged.. sand them down, polish yourself.. its not hard

^^ Yup. You are correct. That is the good thing about having polished aluminum wheels. You can fix curb rashes yourself. But the bad thing is that they are a PITA to clean. But they sure do look great, especially when clean.
